What is squalane?

While they sound super similar, squalane and squalene are very different. Squalene is retrieved from the liver of sharks, which isn’t environmentally friendly at all. In comparison, squalane is a better, cruelty-free option that comes from plants. For haircare, squalane is the preferred option due to its ecofriendly and gentle properties.
