Neal & Wolf believes that beauty products should be cruelty free. We are proud to be Leaping Bunny approved. A global programme, Leaping Bunny requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements.

All of our own brand cosmetic and personal care products and household and cleaning products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products. We adhere to a fixed cut-off date policy and proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also independently audited.

1. ‘I purchased a Neal & Wolf product but I don’t see the Leaping Bunny logo on the packaging, is it Leaping Bunny Approved?’

Yes! We are working hard behind the scenes to update product packaging and merchandise. To avoid current packaging waste, this will be added at a future date.

2. ‘What Neal & Wolf products are approved by Cruelty Free International, Leaping Bunny Program?’

All Neal & Wolf products are officially approved by Cruelty Free International under the Leaping Bunny Program. Isolated products cannot be approved, the entire brand must be compliant in order to be approved.

3. ‘What else does Neal & Wolf do to try and reduce their environmental impact?’

We have a duty of care towards stylists, consumers and the planet – because of this, we are on a journey to becoming more sustainable. Keep reading to find out how:

Packaging: Over the past two years, we have been working hard to bring you new and improved packaging made from a minimum of 35% PCR Plastic. This means that our packaging has already been recycled before we use it, helping to reduce single-use plastic.

Products: All of our products are Sulphate Free, Paraben Free, TEA Free, DEA Free & officially Leaping Bunny Approved.

Vegan Friendly Formulas: We have a selection of Vegan Friendly products including our full professional colour range. Moving forward, all new products we launch will be 100% Vegan Friendly. We’re also committed to reformulating our existing products to be Vegan Friendly too.

Green Salon Collective: We are partnered with the Green Salon Collective to help salons recycle more whilst raising money for charity.


4. ‘Does ‘Cruelty Free’ mean ‘less safe’ due to the products not being tested on animals?’

No, our products are all thoroughly tested both in-house and by our manufacturers to ensure their safety and efficiency. Products are tested in-house by real people and also undergo rigorous testing/examinations inside our manufacturer’s labs.

5. ‘Has Neal & Wolf ever tested on animals?’

No, we never have and never will.

6. ‘I thought it was illegal to test on animals in the UK and EU?’

Thankfully, it is! However, this sadly does not stop brands from testing on animals elsewhere in the world. The Leaping Bunny approval is the globally recognisable gold standard for Cruelty Free cosmetics, personal care, household and cleaning products, the approval demonstrates that a brand is genuinely committed to removing animal testing from its supply chain.
