Perfect that summer festival style

If you're not looking for flower crowns this year and want something low-key to maintain, check out these two options. Both looks will easily weather a full day's partying!   Fishtail braids   These braids have the perfect combination of simplicity, boho-chic and something a little bit different. They are easy to do, too. You can make these sleek as you like, but texture is the name of the game at festivals.  
  1. Part your hair evenly down the centre and secure each section with an elastic.
  2. Split one section into two parts. This is different from your normal 3 part basic plait. Grab a portion from the outside of the right hand part and pass it over to combine it with the left hand part.
  3. Now grab a portion from the outside of the left hand part and pass it over to combine it with the right hand part.
  4. Repeat until you're done, then tie off with another elastic.
  5. Repeat the process on the other side.
  Trust us - it sounds tricky but that's because none of us are used to braiding with only two strands. You'll get the hang of it quickly, we promise!   Textured waves   This style is all about the set up. If you nail this in the morning you're gonna look stunning all day. You're going to need a straightener for this one, along with some holding spray.  
  1. Brush your hair out, leaving the central part.
  2. Twist a portion of your hair and use a hair dryer to dry it while twisted. This adds body. Repeat until your hair is dry.
  3. Take a small section of your hair and use your straightener. Start at the root and bring it down slowly, rotating the straightener forward as you push down.
  4. Repeat for each section of hair, alternating rotating the straightener forward or backward.
  5. Comb out the hair when finished to give a natural wavy look.
  6. Finish off with a small braid or two.
