New hair extensions, endless new styling opportunities!

Hair extensions are so versatile and unlock a whole new world of transforming and styling your hair.

Depending on the quality of the hair extension used and how well they are fitted, hair extensions will remain undetected unless very closely inspected. When used correctly, they are subtle, beautiful, versatile, and confidence-building, and these are just among the reasons why more and more of us are choosing to invest in hair extensions.

Clip In Hair Extensions

Equip yourself with the best hair extension brand that matches the colour of your hair, ensure your using human hair extensions so they are as versatile as your own hair and you can heat style them.

If you already have straight hair, brush your hair to remove any tangles. If not, use a flat hair iron to straighten it.  Next, clip in a long length hair extension under your crown.

If you have fine hair, or find your extensions need more help staying in place, you can backcomb your root slightly to prevent your wefts from slipping. Try adding a little dry shampoo to give more hold, DAILY Dry Shampoo

If you prefer a layered look, clip in your extensions diagonally.

Once attached, brush the extensions carefully to blend the extensions with your real hair.

How To Style Hair Extensions?

Wearing hair extensions literally transform your hair from short to long in minutes, add heaps of volume, and give the opportunity for thicker hair braids or plaits, instantly.

Here are some of our favourite hair extension hair styles…

Mermaid Waves

Mermaid waves are made for long locks and look effortlessly stunning for any occasion.

With the added length and volume from hair extensions, they are super simple to achieve with any mermaid waving tool. With any hot tool, we’d recommend using a heat protection spray before styling to ensure your hair, and your hair extensions are protected. Try our GUARD Heat Protection Spray, to protect your hair up to  220°C. To ensure your waves last and look their best, once styled, finish with a texturizing spray, which also adds hold, such are our TEXTURE Finishing Spray, this will add extra volume and hold.

Dutch Braids

The style of summer, and the Queen of extension hairstyles due to its need of volume. While Dutch Braids are often confused with Friends Braids, its actually the opposite. with a French braid, you're crossing sections of hair over one another, and with a Dutch braid, you'll be crossing them underneath

How?

1.      1. Centre part and detangle your hair, ensuring your part in as straight as possible.

2.     2.  Take three small pieces at your hairline and begin weaving each into a braid, remembering to weave each piece underneath the other. The piece on the right goes under the middle, and then the piece on the left goes under that.

3.      3. Repeat the crossing pattern adding small sections of hair to each of the three sections as you go.

4.     4.  Once you reach the nape of your neck, continue with a standard braid.

5.      5. Tie with a small tie.

6.     6.  Gently open the loops slightly to give the braid a slightly “messy” look and add thickness. To fight any frizz, apply a small amount of hair oil, we’d recommend our Velvet Nourishing Oil to nourish, fight frizz and protect against UV damage

The Ponytail

If you plan to wear your hair in a high ponytail, we recommend clipping in your hair extensions upside down, this will ensure they lay flat when you pull your hair up to go into the pony tail so you can still slay those sleek up-dos – we know, its genius…

Curls

Curling clip-in hair extensions before you wear them is a great hack. Simply curl your extensions and pin each curl into place with a bobby pin. Leave them until you come to wear them the next day and then unpin each curl. Each will be perfectly formed and will last so much longer.
