Photograph - Victoria's Secret[/caption] This year's Victoria's Secret fashion show has taken place, and instead of the usual New York location this year the show has travelled across the Atlantic to London. The show which was broadcast on the 9th of December and is still available to view online, showed a stunning range of lingerie modelled by the likes of Lily Aldridge, Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima, and Doutzen Kroes. The brand's premier supermodels - who are called Angels, graced the runway as usual and displayed beautiful hairstyles, jewellery and fashion accessories. The show also featured live performances by Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Hozier and Taylor Swift. The music was performed on the catwalk as the models walked by, sometimes stopping for a few moments to interact with the stars. Taylor Swift performed new song “Style” live for the fist time, which can be seen as a major coup for the Victoria's Secret show. With such a stellar line up it is no big surprise that the show is one of the biggest and most watched events of the year when it is broadcast on television in the U.S. The fact that it is staged in early December can only mean that the company are hoping to cash in on the Christmas period with people buying the products on show as presents. This year the show had several themed sections including Gilded Angels which featured lots of gold! Gold wings to complement the 'Angels' branding of the models, gold body suits, plus gold boots and accessories, all hand made couture outfits. The Dream Girl section represented playfulness and innocence, with outfits intended to make the models looks as though they were in the middle of a slumber party. The designs had a 50's boudoir inspired look - the dream pin up era. The finale of the show was called, Angel Ball, and designed a black and white theme. It was intended to showcase the woman at any ball who makes everyone turn and look as she enters the room. The designs in this section were opulent and dramatic featuring features, lace and beautiful jewels. The classic black and white colours gave the outfits a traditional aspect while the modern designs elevated them to something more contemporary. To see more visit www.victoriassecret.com
