Screen Shot 2017-02-16 at 09.31.14 Valentine's Day is fast approaching. Set aside a bit of extra time this year to give some attention to your hair with one of these gorgeous Valentine's Day hairstyles. These are great for celebrating the spirit of love any time, but who doesn't love a Valentine's Day treat? Bringing a little extra love to your day can't hurt, right?   Heart shaped bun   This cute style keeps your hair neat and tidy while giving a subtle nod to love. Put your hair in a high ponytail. Place a circular volumiser around the base of the ponytail and use two small hair ties to shape it into a heart (one from top to bottom to create the indent, and another on the bottom half to narrow it). Arrange your hair around it to cover the volumiser and create the heart shape.   Sweetheart coil   Pull the top of your hair back in a classic half undo and secure it with a hair tie. Split the ponytail in half and then twist each section so that it naturally forms into half of a heart shape. Secure the two ends with a pair of hair pins and brush the remaining ponytail down into your hair.   Love tangle   Part your hair down the middle and then braid down each side. Use plenty of hair pints to weave a heart with the plait tails against the back of your head. This looks fantastically detailed but it's quite easy. Tuck the ends in for a finished look.   Braided hearts   If you're experienced with braiding, try this. Use a fine point comb to draw a heart shaped part on the back of your head, with the point ending at the nape of your neck. Braid around the part so that a heart is formed, with straight, unbraided hair ‚Äòcolouring in' the heart itself. Where the braids meet, plait them together for a low ponytail finish.   Sweet curly love   For a subtle and elegant nod to love, try using curls. If you're a whizz with a curling wand, create loose curls and then pin them gently around your head. Ensure the tails of the curls align to create multiple delicate hearts all around you.
