Make a colour splash
We've noticed a new dramatic colour trend on the fashion scene and amongst some of our favourite female celebrities in recent months and it seems to be picking up pace as we move from autumn into winter. From indigo, pink, orange and lavender there seems to be no limits to the dramatic new shades on offer!
Here is our quick review of those who are getting this new style so right and how to do it for yourself.
Photograph by Kate Hudson on Instagram Kate Hudson's new style beautifully blends soft pink strands in a shoulder length cut. The Golden Globe winning actress dyed her hair in aid to bring awareness of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, but it looks so good we think she should keep it for a while longer! Kate shared the image on Instagram alongside mother Goldie Hawn and a message of support for Breast Cancer Awareness. Kate said: “In honor of my bestie Juliana, my assistant Kathy, my grandmother Laura, Mimo and all the people who are fighting and have fought breast cancer. Your courage shines and inspires. We decided to show our support by wearing pink proud!”
Nicole Richie has been playing around with different shades for a while now including purple and bright blue. Now she has a stunning new look for Autumn and Winter with a new indigo colour. We imagine you have to be incredibly brave to go for such a bold shade, and it may not be for everyone, but for Miss Ritchie it just works! We salute you!
January Jones, the uber pretty star of hit US show Mad Men is the latest celeb to go for bright colours in her locks with a candy floss pink change up. The new style features her signature blonde locks with a few dramatic pink steaks for good measure! We love it!
Katy Perry is known for her bold hairstyles and is no stranger to bright shades either. We've seen her with a stunning pink look, bright blue bob and now she has gone with a deep purple that makes a dramatic impression. We love this darker look and think Katy wears it perfectly.
