Ombre Ombre or dip dyed hair is a very on trend look for this Autumn and was seen at many of the Autumn / Winter catwalk shows. The Ombre look is also popular many with celebrities right now with J-Lo, Lea Michelle, Micha Barton, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Alba all going for Ombre locks.   For those who are new to Ombre or dip dyed hair, the style is basically a two tone colour that contrasts to create a spectacular look. The style can work with various hair types from wavy to straight but works best with long to medium length hair. In our opinion Fall is naturally about a contrast in colours, with browns, reds, and dark blonde Ombre combinations a real winner for reflecting the mood of the season. The way one colour falls into another is very reminiscent of multi coloured leaves falling from the trees. Another way to play with this style is to think about where the mix of colours take place and the amount of fade between them. The images below show some various examples. blog image 4 Low Pony Tails Low pony tails had already seen some popularity at the Spring / Summer catwalk shows but this Autumn they became a stand out feature and have evolved to include a few different takes on the look. At the Autumn shows low pony tails were seen with sleek, messy and bouncy styling at Donna Karan, Chloe, Calvin Klein and Channel. The sleek finish in particular was omnipresent and creates a powerful she means business appeal. The style can be either slicked back at the crown or worked into a side parting.   Super straight hair works best so to enhance this look why not dry adding extra shine and straightness with a product like the Neal & Wolf SILK Smoothing Blow-dry Balm to eliminate any stray hairs, tangles and frizz.       Centre Parting With Natural Waves The final look worth mentioning is the centre parting. A popular iteration of this style seen at the Fall shows was the natural wavy look that enhances the laid back style of the centre parting. To achieve the perfect natural look blow dry your hair using your hands to roughly comb it. A brush would apply too neat a finish and ruin the look. This simple low tech down-do approach looks even better when paired with bold statement make-up. Whatever style you choose this Autumn the Neal & Wolf range is likely to have the perfect collection of products to help you style and maintain your hair.
