The British Academy Television Awards took place earlier this week at the Royal Festival Hall on London's Southbank. When it came to the awards on the night, Suranne Jones took Leading Actress for Dr Foster, while Mark Rylance took Leading Actor for Wolf Hall. As one of the most high profile award shows on the social calendar, the event hosted a wide range of high profile television stars, dressed in eye catching outfits and showing of stunning hair and make up. Tess Daly A lot of the talk after the BAFTAs has been around Tess Daly and we can easily see why! Perhaps the most striking thing about Tess was her lovely sun-kissed golden tan, which was contrasted perfectly against an elegant white gown. The long time presenter of the BBC 1 hit show Strictly Come Dancing, showed off her legs in the outfit with a thigh high split, whilst a slim waistline wrapped in a silver belt and complimented with matching colour sandals completed the stylish look. Tess wore her blonde hair parted to one side with wavy locks cascading down past her shoulders.
Amanda Holden Wearing an ornate and delicate Tony Ward gown complete with a matching trail, Amanda Holden made a big entrance. The dress trail in fact was so long it needed help from one of her team to get everything in place as she posed for the cameras. Featuring silver bead embellishment the dress was worn with matching silver jewellery and complemented by a classical looking half up half down do, with a centre parting framing her face. Others who captured the eye included former The Only Way is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh and Opera singer Katherine Jenkins. Lucy wowed in a floor length dress with a delicate floral design, and styled her hair with a beautiful updo with a few carefully placed loose stands to frame her pretty features. Katherine Jenkins opted for a figure hugging, backless blue dress, with her hair worn in an understated and beautifully simple updo with side parting.
