The first major fashion show for the Spring/Summer 2015 season has just taken place in New York and we've taken a look at the most on trend hair styles seen on the catwalk this week. Read on to discover our top moments for the event and what to look out for in the coming months.
Sleek & Wet
The wet look continued it's popularity in New York with labels such as Suno, Proenza Schouler, Zac Posen and Peter Som, all embracing a sleek and wet style.
There was more emphasis on wearing wet hair with a structured parting rather than slicked back look during the week but all the fashion brands stayed went a pompadour style.
It appears as though a big look for the new fashion season will be knotted hair. Zero + Maria Cornejo, Rag & Bone and Thakoon all went for this style with a variety of approaches on display. Our favourite was the ultra delicate thin rope style braid from Thakoon worn at the back and wrapped around a super straight waterfall style.
The transition away from braids and buns to knots was also seen at Caroline Herrera where an incredible and intricate sumo wrestler style knot was on display.
When it came to hair colour during New York Fashion week the clear winner was redhead. During the Prabal Gurung show supermodel Maggie Rizer debuted a deep red dye that added depth and intrigue while various other labels also made the most of beautiful red shades.
One Individual to take an honourable mention in the style stakes is Sky Ferreria who went with an eye-catching aquatic blue dye with lighter streaks. The look shows that the extreme mermaid style hair trend we mentioned earlier this month is still maintaining popularity.
