Red carpet events provide celebrities with the opportunity to exhibit their personal style and model gorgeous designer dresses. It was no exception at The British Soap Awards 2015 which took place on Sunday evening. Household names and aspiring newcomers to the soap world showed off an eclectic mix of fashion statements and beautiful hair.
After conducting a thorough review of the red carpet we can bring you the style and hair highlights of the evening.
The “it’s there but you can’t really see it” dress is running the show, just like it did at the Met Gala. Kim Kardashian and Beyonce wore it with pride at the Met Gala 2015, now, for the British Soap Awards, Nikki Sanderson and Jennifer Metcalfe looked proud to show a lot of skin wearing barely there dresses.
Another noticeable trend seemed to be pinks. Although many fashion stylists advise on wearing it with care, there were quite a few pink dress enthusiasts at the British Soap Awards. Amongst them, Mimmi Keene did a good job with her short pink dress, although some commented that her accessories clashed.
The plunging neckline was another must- have at the British Soap Awards featuring on most of the dresses on show. Stephanie Waring, Catherine Tyldesley, Natalie Anderson all wore stunning dresses revealing lots of cleavage and sex appeal.
The most impressive dress at the event was probably the one worn by Jennifer Metcalfe. The outfit had a Bohemian chic vibe with the lace and long fringes that was emphasized and perfected by the natural Boho wave hairstyle.
When it comes to hairstyles, it’s worth mentioning that most actresses opted for relaxed, casual look. Catherine Tyldesley , Alison King and Gemma Atkinson wore their hair down in lose waves, while Stephanie Waring went for braids with a twist, as did like Lucy Fallon and Brooke Vincent.
